Belu Water and The Ripe Avocado: A Shared Ethos in Sustainable Practice
By Jay, Founder of The Ripe Avocado
At The Ripe Avocado, we’re always looking to work with suppliers who reflect our values. That’s why we serve Belu Water at our events – a bottled water brand that leads with purpose, not just profit.
Belu is a British company doing things differently. Since 2004, they’ve been challenging industry norms by putting social and environmental responsibility first. All of their net profits go to WaterAid, helping communities across the world gain access to clean water, decent toilets and hygiene. Belu Water has donated £6.1 million to WaterAid since 2011.
But their impact doesn’t stop there. Belu uses bottles made from 100% recycled glass and plastic and has been carbon neutral since 2007.
They focus on ethical water sourcing and work hard to reduce their environmental footprint.
Their commitment to sustainability and transparency resonates with our own approach to food. We believe that every detail, from the dishes we serve to the drinks we pour, should reflect our ethos of thoughtful, responsible catering.
By choosing to serve Belu Water, we’re supporting a business that proves doing good and doing business can go hand in hand. It’s one of the small but important choices we make to minimise our impact, contribute to positive change and create a ripple effect.
