Senior Sales & Events Planner

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 (DOE)
Location: London SW6
Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hrs per week)
Reports to: Head of Events

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales & Planning Manager to play a key role in the continued growth of our London-based catering business. Working closely with the Head of Events, Founder and wider teams, this role will take ownership of high-value enquiries, key venues, and intricate events while helping to shape the sales department processes, and standards across the business. This is a hands-on role with huge scope for progression as the company continues to grow.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the conversion of high-value and complex enquiries from initial brief through to on the day delivery

  • Take ownership of key clients / venues, developing long-term partnerships and repeat business

  • Work with the Head of Events and Founder to support our sale strategy, pricing, and forecasting

  • Manage and review event budgets and P&L’s, ensuring targets and margins are achieved

  • Identify opportunities to upsell and maximise revenue across events

  • Oversee the planning of multiple events simultaneously, ensuring exceptional standards of service, creativity, and execution

  • Provide strategic and creative input into event concepts, proposals and assist with menus

  • Produce and oversee detailed event sheets, ensuring clarity for kitchen and operations teams

  • Ensure the client journey consistently reflects the brand’s values and high standards

 

About You

The ideal avocado will be commercially driven events professional with strong leadership capability and proven experience in catering or hospitality events.

  • 3 Years + experience in senior sales, event planning, or account management within catering, hospitality, or events

  • Demonstrable success managing large and small scale or high detail events

  • Strong commercial background with hands-on experience managing P&Ls

  • Excellent client-facing presence with the ability to build strong, long-term relationships

  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and planning capability

  • Calm, solution-based approach when managing detailed events and tight deadlines and quick turn arounds

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
