Old Billingsgate

Old Billingsgate stands proudly on the North bank of the Thames, a Victorian Grade II listed building that was once the world's largest fish market until 1982. Transformed by architect Lord Richard Rogers, this 80,000 sq.ft marvel now offers three versatile spaces and a terrace with unrivalled views of Tower Bridge, The Shard and City Hall.

The Grand Hall is the showstopper – a triple-height ceiling, ornate skylit roof and feature mezzanine where the market floor once bustled. It guarantees an inspiring first impression. Hosts up to 1,800 seated or 2,500 standing.

The Gallery delivers contemporary elegance with arching white beams, river views and break-out rooms – perfect for fashion shows, exhibitions or VIP lounges. Hosts up to 300 theatre style, or 500 standing.

The Vault is the hidden gem. Concealed beneath the Thames, this former icy cold store features exposed brickwork and vaulted ceilings. At its heart sits The Well – a contained space with serious party potential. Hosts up to 600 seated or 900 standing.

“Old Billingsgate or Old Billy as I affectionately refer to her as, is the crowning glory of a heritage venue at scale. I’ve had the pleasure of working at Old Billy since the very beginning of my career, catering for gigantic numbers from 1,200 guests for Sky to 800 guests for Global Radio to 1,000 innovators of the Alternative Investment Market - a dinner I’ve been part of for 15 years. To become accredited at this behemoth, charming and historic venue is a pinch me moment and one that will further help us grow as we build our unique and ethical offering”
